Recently two of my grandkids and I had a Zoom chat once again, with art therapy thrown in. While the younger (5) expertly colored a Disney princess, the elder (7) showed me his drawing, explaining that the ship on the distant horizon and the people whose backs we saw in the foreground (we weren’t able to see their emotions) were “friends waving from the dock in England to their friends who were leaving on the Titanic.” “Hoo boy,” as I told his dad about it later; “we will all need some therapy after this year.” “Welp. So long,” his dad chirped like one of the English friends on the dock; “hope you paid for first class!”
