Bear self-care

I wonder if wild animals take a self-care day occasionally. Such as bears. Even though it’s June and they’re done with hibernation, bears might relish the idea of not hunting down anything at all—fresh meat or berries or garbage—it all seems like such a drag. Just lazing on their backs inside the den on a warm spring day, idly watching their claws grow—that’s really all they can manage for 24 hours. Birdsong. Beesong. Frogsong. Crickets.
